The Thin Line Between Life & Death The inspiration behind this piece wasn’t sparked by any certain life event, or tradegy for that matter. I had hung up my first piece on the wall in my living room. I placed it on the side of TV that stood in the corner. One night, while I was watching a movie, I glanced at the painting next to it. The distance between the top of the TV and the ceiling was about 2 to 3 feet and for some reason in my head I saw this exact piece above it. I know it sounds crazy, but I saw a small 1’x2’ white rectangle with a red EKG line running through it. I had to get up and put my imagination on canvas. When I look at this piece I interpret it as “The Thin Line Between Life & Death”. In my eyes, the EKG line shows the last beat in a heart before the flatline… death. The inevitable event we are all reluctant to accept. Most fear death, some dont, but regardless of how ready or not YOU are, we all must face it and theres only but a Thin Line Between Life & Death. $75
